Skull Door Obelisk - Master

Super stuck. I get to the skull door and use Invokan on the obelisk and then I get a message about Lakmir getting swarmed by goblins and I get sent back to the bone pile room. I've resorted to walkthroughs and searches and this isn't mentioned anywhere. They all say to just use the Invokan and summon him. What am I doing wrong?

I figured it out when I wandered around the castle and goblins didn't fight me. If you're dressed in the goblin pieces, Lakmir will send you away. Hopefully this helps someone else in the future.
