Also they have mentioned porting the first Shadowgate remake to PS4 and Xbox one. Seems they are more intent on porting that one to every device and console under the sun instead of developing a new game *shrugs*
Honestly same. I would love for their to be another game but its unfortunately not likely. We'll have to see. They don't even communicate which is what makes me mad.
I do hope it's a remake/reboot(?) of Shadowgate: Trials of the Four Towers, as that's the game that got me into the series in the first place. Such a great game.
And I just had a thought now... although i forgot how long Shadowgate 64 takes place after the oriignal shadowgate, i was thinking that if it is a blended remake of Beyond Shadowgate and Shadowgate 64, when you're playing as the halfing/elf you could find obelisks and kinda experience Erik's (the descendant of Jair and main character of the original Beyond Shadowgate) side of the story because his story is also tied to that of the original Shadowgate's. And somehow all the details mentioned in SHadowgate 64 (in the books you find) could be fleshed out and connected even more.
Beyond Shadowgate, if made, is supposed to be a bit of a mix. It's a reboot/new story, in the sense that it's supposed to to combine things/themes from Beyond Shadowgate and Shadowgate 64, such as your character will be Del. There is also supposed to be a slightly different, yet still easy to work with, UI to make the game more immersive.
