Ideal clear speed?

I'm currently on day 8 in step 7. Is this too slow? Enemies seem to have scaled very quickly and fights are quite tough. I still only have 3 party members but fights now seem to be against 6 targets with lots of health or armor.

Would moving faster have lowered the amount of enemies? Is the final boss hard enough that I need to keep grinding or can I try to avoid fights from here on out to move faster (by avoiding the need to rest)?

I love this game, it is definaly very easy in easy mode that you should try first as a first contact. The hard mode it is very hard but not imposible when you know what you are doing. Anyway if you want all the achivements you have to play few time so have fun, enjoy.

Welp, eventually got around to finishing this run and beat the game. I got an achievement for clearing with a party of 4 even though I only had 3... presumably there's a way to recruit more but I never found it.

I dealt with the numbers mismatch by just avoiding fights except for boss fights. It worked out OK, no points for style though I guess.
