what is the point of playing fps games anymore at this rate.
just played a game with a cheater on my team who clearly did not have any game sense at all looking at crouch level everywhere they went and snapping to peoples heads but when it came to shooting traps couldn't hit a barn door

Mostly it's an ego thing.

The maker of those cheats do it for the money... the users 9/10 got their face rolled by some dude and then because they have an ego on them they're more than willing to drop $$$$ on a cheat or two, especially for a free game, so that they can feel powerful for once.

It's an issue that's about as old as online gaming itself... in fact it goes further... cheating has been a thing for millenia. People can't accept they're not the best... so they do whatever they can to be 'the best'.

That's the point.

yes cheaters are running but its honestly not even 10% as bad as cs2
people hate the game and im glad they do
many cheaters dont even bother aiming at agents. they just lock sticky aim
now dont blame pc users only for it. i have been for the last 3 years deep inside warzone and xim matrix dma scripts cheats selling groups on discord. and its horrible most of the people looking for scripts are controller users. but pc users are bad as well. cs2 is the proof
