Insane ping spikes

My ping in this game is absolutely terrible. I usually play on 50 - 60 ping which is more then fine for me but in this game no way. Im at 50 ping and from one to the next second my ping jumps to 300 and the game becomes unplayable for the next few seconds. This happens several times throughout every match. One time my ping spiked to 1100ms. Apparently its due to "Choke" and "route flapping", at least thats what it says ingame. This happens in no other game. I enjoy the game overall but this is seriously impacting the way im able to play.

Is anyone else experiencing this and is there a fix to this? If not i just wont be able to play this game at all

yes. im on 1GB internet and mid range pc. 300+fps stable and the servers are blowing up
ping goes all over the place.

i hope that they make it so that you don't need some stupid program to not lag because I don't trust it and the ping booster only lasts for like about 100 more days I think

I did download gearup didnt do much. Then played the other modes everything was fine. Deleted gearup and played normal mode and didnt have any problem

I can confirm this game is borderline unplayable with the lag spikes and stuttering. Test my connection, says it's perfect. Load into a game, straight to 150 ping. Only with this game... No others. And it mainly happens at night too. I played a few games in the morning and had no problems..

Ever since last 2 updates i've had this issue where my wifi starts tweaking and having choke % route flaps and high ping it's almost as if the game is downloading something in the background while I play. I played 30 mins of siege Valorant and Apex and looked at my network analyzer and it showed no jumps in ping but as soon as I play a game of fragpunk my analyzer shows spikes and packet loss. I used Gearup and Exitlag and both did not fix the issue.

i had the same issue
the pink spikes start when i start to fight and shot on other people and its taking like 10 sec -15 sec then its back ( when u being dead ofc )
i try every thing ( my brother router - my brother network - wifi - with cable - i uninstall the game - i uninstall the windows - i try it on epic games - i use previous drivers of gpu - and i change the gpu XD )
and no solution / just min that other games run smoothly and perfect -
i rly like that game but they don't care - a lot of people had the same problem

so i had this issue where the ping would just go up to a thousand for no reason, i changed my DNS sever in the control panel -> to 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1, restarted my PC and router (wait 20secs before turning it back on) and the ping is a lot more stable and playable now after 2 matches, hope it works for everyone!

im surprised a DNS change fixed it for you lol. it should be preety unrelated normally
