Is this actually a Hero Shooter? If so what does it do unique compared to the others?

i can say that cs2 is dead by now and valorant is loosing people
this fragpunk release will kill cs and valorant for sure.

Long story short; I misread your comment at first and I agree. Even then; the players are what keep these games fun is why they still kick around. You need actual passion for a game for it to survive not some gimmicks.

I misread your reply at first; yes good to bad games survive (TF2 vs OV2 as an example). It's not about the game being good but the question of; are players still having fun?

Is there still an active player base there to make the game fun itself?

PVP games live and die by their audience; not the other way around.

People are having tons of fun with those games still; you need passion, personality and soul in a game. This game from what I could see feels quite soul-less, not much passion and not much personality.

If I can't tell this gameplay a part from all the other failed generic Hero Shooters then why would I enjoy myself at all with something like this?

The roguelike element of the cards is new (i think). But seems very similar to Valorant, maybe a bit faster.

they kept the same aesthetics from marvel rivals (netease behind both games)
