I might just do month to month purely for that reason tbh.
I did buy 1 month when this game first came out which is coming near the end, I REALLY love this game but yeah I dont know if its worth the risk.
The devs seem to be doing everything right so I dont know why the playerbase is dying off, its so fun D:
Main reason I got into Frag Punk was because there is so little to unlock in Rivals -_-
I also beat the Frag Punk battlepass.
First time beating 2 active battlepasses, and I didnt really play either more than 2 or 3 games a day, I really need a new game at this point
Wild Assault looks like fetish content I doubt it will do any better than Frag Punk.
Still, if its good ill check it out if its free, i could only find people debating if it would be free or not so idek if it will be- I cant see myself paying for that
Still, I checked out the top 100 active games on steam, shockingly low numbers, 10k is actually a decent number it turns out, VERY FEW games have over 100k, IF Frag Punk can get their match wait times down- possibly by removing some modes or making all the arcades modes 1 playlist, then its a totally fine number of players, maybe not for ranked.
Hell maybe they should either get rid of ranked or get rid of casual, force all the players into one hopper, would halve wait times, im sure some people would rage but at least they would be PLAYING instead of staring at a lobby menu half the time

That's true. This fetish doesn't seem oversexualized in any way, so the game may also appeal to the tastes of "normals". I'm personally waiting for it. I'm also curious how big the furry subculture population will be. Nevertheless, the game may hit rock bottom within a week - especially since it will also get a rebound from the start of the second season in Marvel Rivals.
Yes, 10k is a pretty good population. The problem is that this game doesn't show any signs of being able to maintain any kind of steady player count. Apart from occasional weekend boosts, we've been losing people every single day since release. We can be happy with 10k on Monday, but on Thursday it will be 8k. And so on and so forth. New players are not coming, old ones are dropping out every day, so the conclusion is simple and the mathematics is inexorable.
This game should never have a ranked mode, because in its version it is an unfunny joke. On the one hand, any player without hands can get Diamond just by playing. On the other hand, the RNG element of cards undermines any balance and fairness of the game.
Additionally, the cosmetic items in this game are just plain gross and the game fails to attract casual players even with that.
