One Possible Solution For Game Not Opening After Recent Update (ESET Antivirus)

By all means, don't take this as a "you must do this" kind of advice. I am only posting this due to being frustrated about the game refusing to download the latest update without having me first completely disabling antivirus protection, which to me is not ideal. Others have mentioned that ESET will list this latest update as a false flag for malware. I am not that tech savvy to know how true it is, all I know is I just wanted to be able to play the game again. So if you have ESET and it is giving you the same problem, here's a simplified guide for getting back in the game:

1)Trying to open the game one time (ESET will block so you can have the latest attempt logged at the top for following steps)

2)Open ESET antivirus

3)Navigate to tools, then quarantine

4)At the top of the list, the latest file with the ending "...Fragpunk.exe" will be listed. Right click and select "Restore and Exclude"

5)You should be able to open the game normally through steam at this point

i don't have any Antivirus Software installed but I still having the same issue of not able to update the game today. Any suggestion?

i tried to do what you did.. The .exe went to quarantine, i restored him. Still i cannot launch the game....
FOUND A SOLUTION....Disable ESET protection in order to run the game after restoring the .exe.. I also have ESET.

As for 得闲饮茶R, I unfortunately don't have any possible solution for you besides maybe seeing if you can verify the integrity of your files. That's unfortunately the extent to my help as it could be any number of issues at that point as this post is primarily aimed toward ESET Antivirus users.
