Anti cheat information
Can we have more information about the anti cheat?

Ive been reading a lot of bad things about Neac Protect which seems like the game’s anticheat, is it changed?

only way to stop cheaters is by being aggressive and being as invasive as possible. it is what it is.

So your take is that a kernel level AC from CHINA(the country notorious for online cheaters - they consider paying for cheats an "advantage").... is going to be effective because the cheating chinese made it?

Wow. Can't cure stupid

To copy my post from the playtest forums:

Looks like the main anti-cheat client and a handful of NEAC .dll and .sys files, are all dumped in the [gamefolder]/binaries/win64 folder.

There's also at least one .dll added to your windows folder on first run, SystemRoot\System32\drivers\FPSNeacSafe.sys, that doesn't go when you uninstall so make sure to delete that manually.

I also had my NTUSER.DAT file edited about 90 secs after I first ran the game, but other users have reported it didn't happen to them, so that might have just been a coincidence.
I was really looking forward to trying this game but I had a bad feeling when I saw it was installing some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ chinese anti cheat so I only got to see the main menu and that's it I played 0 games and looks like I'll never play this game again since I've uninstalled it.

Thanks for the info about the hidden file that doesn't go when you uninstall. Hate these companies and their invasive anti cheat ♥♥♥♥.

Ever since installing the game my PC has blue screened twice. Maybe there is an issue.

They want to sell the cheats. Anti-cheat companies take kickbacks from "white-listed" cheat software (the kind you go to a website and pay $10 for) and only ban non-approved third party hacks.

Why do you think software like Easy Anti-Cheat is free to developers? How does that company stay in business if they don't charge any money? Why are there rampant hackers on every Easy Anti-Cheat game? Answer those questions before you try to have a big boy conversation with me

"1+1 doesnt equal 2 because trust me bro" is basically what you just typed gj

"Many ways to detect cheats/hacks without having the most invasive AC on the earth" like what :)? gives some examples instead of saying it as a fact

kernal anti cheat non kernal anti cheat, no matter what youll have cheaters. the goal is to make it hard to create cheats aka kernal level which = cheats costing more money = making it harder for the user to use cheats eg. injecting, then doing massive ban waves in the hopes it bankrupts the cheat sellers from people refunding the service after a mass banning. there isnt a single example of a always online game with hundreds of thousands of players without an invasive anti cheat that isnt riddled with cheaters. but but runescape doesnt have an anti cheat!! it used machine learning to see if movements are legit and it works!!! no it doesnt the game is riddles with botters and cheaters.

please let me know of an anti cheat that isnt invasive that works

Its just funny to me how you have no idea what ur talking about, BattleEye fx. very bad anticheat doesn't try to blindly hit Cheats. They rely on buying them and then blacklisting them. EAC is a okayish Anticheat which just randomly shoots into the black and hits stuff. Theres just no way u NEED a Kernel Anti-Cheat. Matter of fact they can be bypassed easily aswell, theres no need to gaslight people into thinking "its so much harder and so expensive". BattleEye is a Kernel AC which doesn't work at all if they dont find the Cheat people use and just collects data. But keep living in ur delusion.

Delusion. Vanguard isn't good. It just stops the Public Cheats aka GamerDoc buying ♥♥♥♥ and Blacklisting it. Only thing they can dtc well is DMA's.

Neac isn't the most invasive... EAC is... and I garuntee you have a few games with that installed on your PC. Oh the hypocrisy... it's delicious.
I think the only way is to jail people who hack for lifetime

Ehh that'd be too costly... FRANKLY the 'best' option is what Korea does... all of your games have to be linked to your social security number basically and if you get banned you can't just make a new account.

NOW that is highly invasive but it would solve the problem. I am not actually in support of this mind you, it's a joke that highlights how upsettingly prominent the problem is though.
then goulag for lifetime + forced end tutorial

oh! warden the anti cheat that worked basically like spyware, (sounds pretty invasive to me O.O)? also the anti cheat that hasnt seen an update in years and is easy to by pass? WoW sure has a lot of botters in it :D and was extremely buggy causing dc's from simply playing the game if you play druid? good example! oh and its literally ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ useless when the cheat is ran not in user mode?

fyi warden can see all your "user" applications running in the background if youre like 90% of people thats where all your files and information is, its also invasive.

ignorant btw:MHRISE_Felyne:

You are an absolute clown. Glad I came upon this gem months later.
