Looks fun, but... why 'free'?
Isn't having a Free-to-Play PvP/Competitive shooter basically like asking for cheaters/hackers to just do what they do, and then simply make another, new, account when they get banned...?
A price tag would definitely not keep them all at bay, but it would probably help a little, right?

A hero shooter coming out and being paid can't compete with the wildly popular and far more established ones Overwatch 2 and Valorant which are free... look at what happened to Concord... doomed to fail when it cost $40, politics and agendas aside.

Well, I was more thinking somewhere along the lines of $16-$20, but I see your point.

CS went about it a cool way with CS prime, I feel like a lot of games could POTENTIALLY benefit from something similar to counter smurfing, much cheaper than $15 though

I understand you people, but you should also understand the developers, why do you think many online game developers make their games f2p, they are still afraid if their game not will be f2p then no one will play it. And if the game costs too little, then people with paid cheats will not find it difficult to buy the game again, so the developers who care about how many people play their games continue to come up with more and more unique ways to fight cheaters.

That's fair, and I understand that...
Although to me personally the "Free to Play" tag on Steam usually work better as a 'red flag' and a deterrent. But, again, that's just me.

because all similar games are free, they sell you a battle pass every 3 months and trillions of paid cosmetics, why wouldnt they make it free

do you want a game to play in a month? there is no reason to buy pvp only game when there is 100 free options and at least 25 great options. we are at a point where basically only Elden Ring/BGIII style games are worth purchasing. Prices keep rising and quality keeps dropping. PVP needs to be free. I will also throw Cyberpunk post updates and DLC in there.

It might sound weird but they should have some sort of turst factor in the game.
More skins (that can't be transferred) increase trust factor, because it doesn't prevent you from a ban but puts you in better trust factor lobbies etc.

Gameplay, KD, assists, objectives, etc
