netease games in mentioned in the EULA too if you do end up playing the game don't have screenshot of it

I can confirm that according to the EULA this is a NetEase game.

Strange then that their closed beta is for North America only because you would think that they would test it in their home country first.

You can check the EULA on the sidebar of the store page.

This is a shame. I was interested in this game until i realized it, like so many F2P shooters, is Chinese.
You stop being interested as soon as you realized it potentially could be a Chinese game, and for no other reason?

Yes, that is correct. And for many reasons. The most relevant is that almost every single Chinese developed game I've played or seen reviewed were the worst examples of cash shop exploitation I've seen. The exceptions are few and far between.

I mean, people are boycotting American products right now just because they are from America. Is it that hard to imagine people doing something similar for Chinese products?

Due to tariffs being threatened that in many cases break trade deals. So not a one to one comparison. Everyone can choose what they do and do not play of course.

It's netease sub company.

I have no problems not playing WOKE crap. If Chinese, Japanese, and Koreans pull it off, they can take over gaming sphere because the entire west is sick and tired of DEI, and woke crap.

But hey, you all Liberals brought this yourself. Now you're stuck with gotcha. They played 4D chess. Three steps ahead.

I've been avoiding Chinese company products, including games, for over 5 years. Has nothing to do with the current political regimes or recent policies.

Chinese companies own a bunch of Western studios that have released a bunch of great games, but almost none of the Chinese-developed games are any good at all. Black myth wukong got a lot of praise and is probably very good, but it's not my type of game so it's not interesting to me. Almost all the rest are absolute exploitation click bait cash shops hunting whales. Hard pass.

You are right. My point was more that people boycott games from a specific country for a variety of reasons, so it's not that unheard of.

Yes, and sadly the Western owned studios that are bought out sometimes decline in quality, too. (Due to cash shops/battle pass/etc.)

*shrugs* I'm pretty liberal, and I'm happy with how things are in the video game industry, so win-win I guess?

Thats BS....
The Closed Beta was worldwide, not NA only.
Why am I so sure about it? I was in the test with a few friends... We are from EU.

Well it wasn't worldwide, so perhaps it was NA and EU?

In any case it doesn't really matter now that the game has actually been released.

what an exceptionally silly comment to make. perhaps you should drop gaming as a whole.
