• Gunplay
  The meat and potatoes of any shooter game. And this game delivers an above average pew-pew experience, albeit a bit more arcade-like than some of it's competitors (more on it later).
  
  
• Settings
  Massive W by Bad Guitar. You can change so much, and adapt the look and feel of the game to your preferences like no other FPS i've played recently. A lot of visibility/clarity settings are decoupled from graphical fidelity, so you don't need to compromise texture/model quality in order to get a clear picture of the game.
  And even the crosshair customization is the best i've seen in over a decade!
  
  
• Performance
  This game runs amazingly well and scales with your hardware and settings impeccably. Bad guitar have actually tamed the UE5 like no other developer. It runs better than both CS2 and even CS:GO!
  
  
• Balance
  The weapon balance as of now is in a really good place, but would be improved by increasing recoil across the board (more on this later). Most weapons are great in their niche and aren't overbearing outside their designated use-cases. DMRs are in a weird spot though, but buffing/changing them would make them overlap with either the sniper rifles or ARs, and as such they don't see as much use in-game.
  
  
• Developer feedback loop
  As of now the developers seem to pay close attention to player feedback. Just recently one of the most annoying and overbearing cards got out-right removed from the game (slow bullets) due to community outcry. And this is great! But i do hope that they have a good filter on, since the loudest voices in the community don't necessarily have the most objective arguments.
  
  
• Report system
  I know it's a gimmick, but it is great to receive a message saying that my report is being processed, and then get notified on action taken against the subject. Makes it feel less like screaming in-to the void.
  
  
• Feature set
  The game was released with a full-fledged demo recording and viewer, as well as highlight recording and video file export! A lot of modes (including a PvE mode, which i've yet to try). Interesting item/weapon customization, and other features that are lacking even in AAA B2P shooters.
  
  
  
  Neutral, but worth addressing
• Anti-cheat
  Kernel level anti-cheat. With all that it entails. Is it a potential vulnerability? Yes. Does it work at deterring cheaters? Also yes.
  So far i've met only 1 cheater in the 100 hours i've played the game. And he got banned within 3 hours of me reporting him.
  That said, these are early days and no doubt cheat developers will have a go at this game if it gets bigger. I've heard rumours and complaints about some of the top players in the game using some sort of cheats, but i have yet to determine if that's the case or if it's just the usual competitive QQ.
  
  
• Graphical design
  It's vibrant and slightly cartoony, BUT it the designers circumvented the cell-shaded/pastel look of some other games in the genre. Depth perception is great and the over-all presentation does not cause me a headache or nausea, which, undoubtedly, is nice.
  
  
• Abundance of in-game currencies
  Initially i was thrown off by the seemingly overbearing amount of currencies/tokens in game, much like a lot of other players. But now i am used to them and i understand why they are there and why they are segmented the way that they are. It's not as bad as many reviews claim. You get rewarded for playing the game and doing various tasks, but you can also just straight-up buy any of the currencies/tokens with your own cash, with a few grind-able exceptions. It's just one of those Asian things ig.
  
  
• Netcode/hitreg
  While over-all the netcode is OK and there are virtually no issues with rubberbanding, the hitreg is calculated on a first-come, first-served basis. Meaning that lower ping players get a distinct advantage. And that would be nice and dandy if a) there were more servers in each region and b) more players to populate all the servers, so that we can always play on the lowest ping possible. A max permissible ping setting is severely lacking atm.
  
  
• Progression/P2W
  You get access to all the weapons from the get-go and there are no "power"-related progression that can be bypassed with cash.
  The characters, however, are locked behind grind/paywall. I never felt like i was losing because i didn't have access to a character before i unlocked it, especially while still learning the game and the various characters and what they do, BUT the ability to adapt to the gamestate IS an important aspect in higher level play and if you don't have a particular character unlocked, you are out of luck and potentially a round down. This will only get exacerbated as new characters are released.
  Currently it is not too hard to unlock all the characters that you want to play, but unlocking ALL of the characters will take you some 50 in-game hours (and that's if you don't spend your gold (free currency) on cosmetics and other stuff).
  I would like to see this system revised by either providing more free character unlocks, or lowering the price of the characters.
  
  
• Battlepass
  No FOMO! If you buy the battlepass, and don't have enough free time to finish it by the end of the season, you can complete it later at your own pace. It stays on your account! That said, the battlepass rewards seem like an afterthought, compared to the item bundles available in the store.
  
  
• E-sports (or lack there-of)
  While the game was released with all the tools necessary for organized competitive play (custom lobbies, spectator mode, etc), the developer is not pushing for e-sports. Which is great, as in most cases such initiatives crash and burn. And it also leaves room for grassroots scene to appear organically when/if the players feel like it.
  
  
• Social credit system
  You get penalized by being naughty and getting reported for toxicity and you get rewarded for farming likes at the end of the match! Seems like Bad Guitar brought a slice of their lives in-to the game :)

Imagine Valorant, Apex Legends, and a bag of Skittles had a chaotic child after a sugar binge that’s FragPunk. It’s a 5v5 hero shooter, but someone threw in magic Uno cards that let you literally break the rules of the game. Gravity? Optional. Reloading? Who needs it. Your bullets might heal people, your grenades might bounce like rubber duckies, and sometimes your gun turns into a turret. Why? Because FragPunk said so.

Shard Cards: The real MVPs here. It's like someone handed you cheat codes... but everyone gets cheat codes. It's fair chaos. Total nonsense, but beautiful nonsense.

Gunplay: Satisfying when you’re not accidentally yeeting yourself off the map because the game decided physics was boring today.

Characters: Colorful cast with personalities as loud as their outfits. One of them definitely vapes neon and another looks like they DJ at an intergalactic rave.

Microtransactions: If you like shopping more than shooting, boy are you in luck! You can customize your style until your wallet begs for mercy.

Skill? Strategy?: Pfft. Why aim when you can use a card that makes enemies shoot randomly like they’ve got Nerf guns taped to their elbows?
