Easy way to get ingredients for Cores
Core crafting can be a pain to craft and require 5 Gears, 18 compound, 12 connectors, 20 iron and 3000 scrap each

1. 5 Gears -- Common -- Easily obtainable resource from ruins. Not used much in crafting so save them for cores

2. 18 Compound -- Uncommon -- Can get from ruins, bars (Buy junk) or from scavengers in ruin locations (locations that have services called scavenger)

3. 12 Connectors -- Rare -- Same as 2 but doesnt pop up as much. Usually comes as a choice between iron and connectors when buying

4. 20 Iron -- Rare -- Same as 3

5. Scrap -- Easy -- Getting scrap is easy. Just need to save up in creds and get ready to mass craft in some safe city with a bar

To get Iron, compound and connectors en masse, first get a lot of scrap on hand (12k etc.).. Then look for a ruin that is not a part of the infection zone (red circle) but has scavenger services. Go there with atleast 80% defences and decent attack, guns and ammo and just spam scavenger. This is the quickest way to get a lot of material in one go.

I usually get to craft around 3-6 cores at a time. Just get stuff from ruins as u trade and then check whats missing and then scavenger spam for the rest XD.

My truck has 17 slots on it and is almost fully upgraded so its a beast and im just making tactical shotguns since they are the best for most situations.

Sniper is good but a lot of stronger zombies usually have a debuff which limits max damage to 6 or 7 so thats a lot of wasted potential unless ur willing to forego the cores (4 for each) for a bunch of sniper rifles.

Tact Shotguns deal 7-10 and at legendary quality can fire 5 shots. Place a fire twice module and you decimate enemies. Ammo is easy to get anyway. Only minus is its +30% accuracy

Hit factories and other ruins often.

If you craft stuff to level up crafting (you gain +2 skill when you fail on it, just make lots of cheap hats and clothes with a low success chance), you can go to a bar and trade junk with people - sell them the clothes and hats you succeeded on in exchange for connectors especially, but other parts too. If they don't have any of the loot you want, move on to the next one.

Wait. How do u sell clothes in bars ?? Ive seen the infected traveller but im hesitant since I dont know if it will give me the option to choose what clothes i sell or randomly take away some legendary stuff im holding onto.

There are two very different categories of clothing;

i) The clothes you craft, the ones with stats on, are classified as equipment. Those can be traded in bars. Select the "Interact" button next to an NPC in a bar, then the "Trade Junk" button from the interaction menu that pops up. That brings up a barter screen. You can trade the clothing you make (and many other things, including scrap) that way.

ii) The clothes named as "Clothing" are trade goods. They can't be made (except maybe in your own towns, as part of a manufacturing chain thread --> cloth --> clothing, maybe, I'm not sure). They can't be worn. They're not classified as equipment. They're solely trade goods, just like wood and ore and so on. You can buy and sell them in some stores, like other trade goods. These are the ones that you can give to the infected traveller. That encounter will not take any of the other category of clothes, the ones classified as equipment. So it's safe to do. The infected traveller will pay you in pre-war electronics, which have an extremely high value to weight ratio. Far higher than the trading item clothing.

This was one thing I have been hesistant to do. Now I know there's a barter screen and not some random selling of clothes (dont want to lose my legendaries).
