As a side note, while the guide you mentioned has been very helpful for me too, I've found it shouldn't be followed like the bible for this game. For example, it recommends the Enigma as god tier for Attack, and while he does have 30 attack, his other stats are so low that I feel he's not worth it. The Rancher (25 husbandry) + an attack dog gives you in the 40's for attack right out of the gate, while also having other better stats (like focus) too.
I was actually mostly looking for a robot to round out my team but wasn't really satisfied with the stats of the usual 3 robot crew found in bars (Combat Unit, Service Unit, Tin Can) which is why I was trying to check out the stats of the elusive Broken Robot. I know some characters only spawn as part of side stories and such because I had a character from one in my last game so maybe it's one of those too.
Having multiple animals equipped at once would be pretty bad in some ways. For each point of Appetite, food fills you for 6% less. I'm not sure what'll happen at 17 Appetite, but I'm sure someone out there's going to try to make it happen to see.
On a side note, crafting can be raised pretty easily by setting yourself up to fail while crafting something with low material costs like clothes or hats. Can easily get a single character to 40 crafting that way. If 'God tier Crafting' isn't much higher than that, it can be worked around.
