Ancient Pick... What is it?

Got this while mining. I thought it may be like a rare pickaxe, but it doesn't seem to be usable. Is it just a special rare item to sell for some cash, or is there a specific use for it?

They're for selling. As of yet there's no use for them. Maybe in the future they can be used to unlock a skin though. I think you get one per 1000 or 10000 on average, not worth keeping imo
