Can't figure out how to go online?

Tried making an account through in game, didnt work (EVERY user name apparantly is already taken...) so i made one through their website, worked fine - but i cant use that for in game? IT wont let me online with the right password, however it gives me no "wrong password" message, just wont do anything (play is greyed out too :S) if i change the password i get the "wrong password" message
it's all quite odd.

Hmmm, I'm not sure what is happening here. If you could PM me the contents of C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\(sometimes something)\Galcon 2\cuzcode.log I'll take a look. (Do not post it here.) Thanks! -Phil

P.S. also what OS are you using, do you have any firewall or proxy on? Are you in a school that may be doing filtering of your internet?

Please post if you figure it out. Having the same issue. Tried disabling anti virus, tried opening port 80, tried new account, tried using the auto account it generates with. Nothing works.

The main thing I've heard so far is that ESET Nod32 interferes with it sometimes. I'm not sure what could be causing it. Again, feel free to PM me that file and I can see if it gives me any clues. -Phil

I had the same problem. When i read about eset nod32 i disabled that temporarily and tried to log in again. It worked without a hitch. After that i can start it up again with eset enabled. There is a sync.dat file in the same folder as the log file now. I suspect that since i have that now, eset no longer interferes. I hope that this info helps someone.
