fox seems very weak
is it the crossbow that is the problem here? I can get to the end boss with any other character but struggle to make it even half way with the fox.

whats up is the bow and crossbow just incredibly weak?

No, that’s not the case. The Fox is actually a very strong character with the highest critical hit chance and attack speed. However, the Fox is more skill-dependent compared to other characters and requires the right choice of abilities and upgrades. The Fox has the lowest health and defense, making them very fragile, but when played correctly, they deal the highest damage in the game. Strategy and ability selection are key to mastering the Fox!
thanks for the reply I was able to beat the forest guardian on the third try and I won with the Owl on the first try.

the frog i got to the boss the first try but died. i got to the boss with the racoon as well and died.

meta progression helps. the best way to get all your weapons is spamming the reroll. most of the other games in this genre have another method of getting weapons or gauranteed new weapon every 5 levels.

but those other games have a less generous reroll cost. I'm not a big fan of having to reroll all the time. It would help if there was a banish tool so I don't keep drawing weapons or upgrades that I don't need

for example I don't need mining speed after I have the materials i need. and I also don't want to draw weapons and wands if i'm trying to use a projectile build for example. so being able to banish something i don't want would make the draw pool smaller.

thanks for your reply!

Thank you for your detailed feedback and suggestions! We really appreciate the time and thought you’ve put into sharing your experience.

Your idea about adding a banish tool to remove unnecessary items or upgrades is very interesting, and we’ll definitely take it into consideration as we continue to improve the game. Feedback like yours helps us understand how we can make the gameplay more convenient and enjoyable for players with different playstyles.

Thanks again for your support, and we hope you’ll keep sharing your thoughts with us — it’s invaluable for our development process! 😊
I agree, my success in runs feels entirely independent of my personal ability or skill or knowledge as a player, but entirely dependent on what cards I draw. Sometimes I'll even get to the first boss without even drawing a weapon, or keep drawing the same weapon, one not even for my build, and I run out of rerolls and end up really weak, using the owls starting hammer to slowly wittle down a boss for like 20 minutes, it's very boring.
im basically farming rerolls from the first minute looking for those little shrines on the map the whole time to get as many rerolls as possible and then im rerolling until i see a weapon then i reroll everything else to get as many weapons on the pool so i can keep rerolling for a smaller pool of weapons lol

the game could really use another way to get weapons, an easy way would be to put a blacksmith shrine or a meteor on the map that lets you pick a weapon

bans would help too but simply take weapons out of the item pool and have every 5 levels you get to draw only weapons to pick a weapon or upgrade one (deep rock galactic survivor does something like this)

I like the frog the most so far. not sure what after that.
