Game refuses to start

Well, I thought I give it a try. Bought it, let it download, a few hours later once its done I go to start it, steam says I am launching game and my icon goes green or so. 3 seconds later back to blue and game doesnt load,

I restarted the computer (no change like I kinda expected.

Windows 7, Geforce GTX 980, I7 Intel, no prob with my rig.

Is there a solution I dont know about ?.

Well I think the game is toast, but going to wait to see if anyone knows a solution. Am in no rush to play it.

Other users had this issue (for other games) and they solved it by verifying the files, or reinstalling the game after restarting.
Recently I codesigned the .exe to improve the security (since had lot of false positive reports) but I'm starting to think that wasn't a good move and could be the cause.
If you can't make it work with the methods above let me know, I might try to revert to previous system! Thanks

Wow super fast reply. Will give those 2 options a go. Well certainly the first option, Might not be up much longer since its work tomorrow, so maybe trying the reinstall tomorrow if I dont get the time.

Haha good. Yeah I have no clue why that happens! Since nothing changes in my code, so must be some Steam glitch :P

Interesting. I have the same issue; I tried reinstalling and it did not work. Although, when I click on th exe it says steam is preparing to launch and then nothing afterward that shows any indication of loading. How would I verify the files to do the other check?

To verify game files in steam:

From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game cache... button.

I tried this. But nothing happens when I click Verify Integrity of game cache button. Is there something else I can try so the game will work, I hope so. Else it will be a waste of my money.

you should get a blue progress bar come up and it will start examining the files. Then report whats missing when its done and redownload if it needs to

It worked ^^ Thanks so much, loving the game so far. I don't know why yesterday it didn't work. But its all good now. Thanks really. Never would of know. ^^
