Game not launching - Error message

Hi,
I tried to start the game for the first time today but all I get is an error dialog saying:
"Error"
"An error has occured"
and a "Ok" button.
When I start it from the command line there is no output that reveals anything.
Any suggestions? Anywere where I could find a log that says what exactly is happening?
