Is this game good for just a singleplayer experience?
Title, I honestly never liked the idea of couch co-op in modern games. Or online multiplayer, so is this roguelike good for a singleplayer experience?

I've been playing mostly single player for awhile, it gets kind of stale after 3-4 hours but there's plenty of things to unlock and just keep in mind
ITS IN ALPHA.

Alrighty, thanks.
the meat of the game's definitely in the mp. it's stellar but def can't reccommend it as a purely SP game, though the bots are competent and you can get a solid few hours out of them alone

Few hours? Oh man, I'm just gonna skip this one.

Thing is, this game isn't a roguelike. It's an arcadey hack'n slash game with a few randomised elements, and its depth doesn't come from a loot system or anything, but from the constant shifting between competition and cooperation among players. Played against bots it can be fun for a quick round, but it really is meant to be played with others.

Fooled by steam tags once again, 10/10.

Yeah, Roguelike is a misleading description (and generally overused and put in all sorts of wrong contexts these days).

Well, thanks for the help. I just might buy this game due to how friendly the community is. Which is kinda hard to find nowadays.

Besides, with new content being added up to early 2015, I'd say it's definitely worth the $10. I might be a little biased though as I have a thing for really nice pixel art. (also my toaster can run it perfectly 10/10)

I enjoy single player, but I wouldn't play more than a match at a time. I'd much prefer multiplayer.

It would be more fun if they didn't go straight to the boss at level 10 and end the game in 10 minutes, people know when their equipment isn't good enough, the bots don't. They just run in get owned and end the game really fast like.
Don't get me wrong if want to be able to just pick up and play bots for 10-20 minutes its great, but if you want a long gaming session your going to need a little human ingenuity.
