This is in opposition to games such as Monaco and Hammerwatch, which appear to have supported Xbox 360 controllers (but not PS3/DS3 controllers), but failed to incorporate Xbox One controller support (or DS4 support) as these became the mainstream controllers on the market.
Rewired added Switch support as it came into frame and I would expect future controllers to be similarly maintained (although support for anything can always cave unexpectedly).
These are already covered by Rewired:
• Keyboard - By default only one player can use the keyboard, since a lot of keyboards have issues when too many keys are pressed at once. To add more keyboard players, choose Keyboard Setup from the options menu.
• Amazon Fire Game controller and remote.
• Apple MFi controller on iOS 7 and above.
• GameStick on Linux.
• Logitech F310 on Windows, Mac and Linux.
• Logitech F510 on Windows, Mac and Linux.
• Logitech F710 on Windows, Mac and Linux.
• Logitech WingMan on Windows.
• Moga Pro on Windows, Mac and Linux.
• NVIDIA Shield on Android and Windows. (Use the XINPUT branch)
• OUYA controller on Windows and Linux.
• PlayStation 2 controller on Windows (with adapter)
• PlayStation 3 controller on Windows, Mac and Linux.
• PlayStation 4 controller on Windows, Mac, Linux and Android.
• Speedlink Strike on Windows and Mac.
• SteelSeries Free on Windows, Mac and Linux.
• Valve Streaming Gamepad on Windows.
• Xbox 360 controller on Windows, Mac, Linux and Android.
• Xbox One controller on Windows and Mac.
• Xbox One console.
• A variety of Xbox 360 clones.
These are not listed on Rewired support page:
• Executioner X on Windows and Mac.
• Hama Black Force on Windows.
• MaxFire Blaze5 on Windows.
• Natec Genesis P44 on Windows.
For this, I'm not sure:
• Mouse - Click the mouse on the join screen to play with mouse.
Sry i'm not familiar with controller setting software or unity mumbojumbo lol.
Guess I will ask for a refund. Bummer. Was excited to play this game too.
What's your OS and version?
This isn't something you as a user installs; it's a tool the developers could use to handle controller management.
Studios develop an engine, and many other studios use that engine as a foundation to develop their game. Unity is known for making the process of developing a game on several different OSes (Windows, macOS, Linux) *easier*, so it's popular.
Other other studios, such as the folks at Rewired make tools for Unity that game developers using Unity can easily incorporate.
I was just curious if the guy behind Crawl's code had heard of Rewired : j
OS: Ubuntu 18.04 bionic
Kernel: x86_64 Linux 4.18.0-25-generic
CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K
GPU: GeForce GTX 750 Ti
I play a ton of other games with this controller on this PC and they all just work.
sry im noob ...
