Crawl

Development continuing or halted?
I've been watching this game for a while and bought it on sale and I have to say I greatly enjoy this game.

I feel that the game has much potential for even further content, whether expansions or dlc. New monsters, dungeon themes, maybe some hero customization (male/female), bosses is something dlc or expansions can add to.

I feel also slimes could use a little more attention, i think they are the most overlooked part of the game. I think there could be different types like fire, poison, acid etc that can be obtained through the store for example.

Not really sure how long it will be before getting back to Crawl, but we do still have a bunch of content we'd like to add- more bosses, more environments etc :)

I love this game but it definitely needs more content. like it's fun but after a while the monsters get repetitive.

Reasons like that are why I don't want to buy early access anymore. It doesn't matter if you are tired, you've already been paid, finish the product. Imagine if my boss paid me in advance and then I stopped going to work? lol

... But this game isn't in early access.

It also has enough content to justify the price. It is far from unfinished. In fact, it was far from unfinished when it was still in Early Access.

He said he was taking a break from the game because he had been pushing it for four years, he stopped actually after early access ended, and there was a free update next to that.

Honestly, all I'd need to freshen this up for me are a couple new level tilesets.

I believe they've been working on the Nintendo Switch port...

So I'm guessing it's going to be awhile before we see more content for this game??

I would definitely pay for more content, in a similar way to how Binding of Isaac has done it.
More weapon's, more monsters, more bosses, more gamemodes (A coop Hero's dungeon crawl?)
Oh and new area's. Would be great to see different levels such as a volcano or icy plain with related hazards.

I know the Dev team is burt out and wants to pursue brand new games but this game is seriously unique and deserves more content.

Would be even awesome to see a sequel with 16bit graphics instead.

Glad to hear they aren't completely done with Crawl yet though, hopefully it doesn't take them too long to come back to it.

I agree that this is a great game but needs more content, but the main thing for me would be online multiplayer, I wish I didn't have to invite my buddies over if I want to play this one game with someone

Mod support, player added maps, bosses and creatures.

Done.

Couldn't agree more. Crawl is a beautifully different game that, like Rocket League, brings amazingly fun splitscreen play back to its fans. I've logged 50 hours on this game and it has become a fraternity favorite. If the content is renewed in the nearish future as it seems it will be, my friends and I will certainly log many more.

We launched the full version and ended our Early Access phase :) I'd probably say "complete" rather than "halted" hehe

Despite that, we do have a handful of boss designs and at least one new environment (the forest) that we are keen to put into the game at some point. We've been focusing on getting our Switch version ready, and on a small second project called Regular Human Basketball, but there's no telling just when inspiration might hit and drive me back to the old Crawl development drawing board I've had so much fun with over the past four years!

I'll definitely keep you guys informed :D!
