Road Not Taken

save function?
I understand that this is a rogue like with permadeath but is there any kind of save feature when you haven't died? As in when you just want to take a break? I heard the game is pretty lengthy...

Road Not Taken is constantly autosaving, so you can quit at any time without fear of losing progress. :-)

great thanks. I have the PS4 version and it might be a good idea to tell your players that cause I have been playing for awhile and had no idea.

I played for over an hour last night, and got up to year 4, then quit the game. When I launched it again a little later I started over from absolute zero. Tutorial "how to move," no book of secrets (and then an empty one once I got it again). I thought maybe it was because I never activated any shrines, but since you say it's always auto saving maybe something went wrong?

@Holly, yeah, that sounds like a nasty bug. You should never lose your book of secrets or be forced to replay the tutorial. If you can email us as much email (about your computer, what you were doing when you quit, etc) to support@spryfox.com we can try to investigate. Unfortunately you're the first person to report something like this, so reproducing it may be challenging.

Thanks Chedd, I'll get that emailed to you today.

Chedd, while you're on, could you look at the Child Counter Bug report I posted?

Thanks Scott! I don't know why I wasn't signed in that first time either. I seemed to be at first (the community overlay popup appeared at launch), but maybe I got signed out at some point? In any case I'm doing much better with my current save data. ;)

Relatedly, where is the best place to direct any future issues? Directly to your support email?
