Your love interest of choice?
I'm interested in learning about your tastes, as it helps us shape our future games :).

Which of the romanceable guys was the best character overall, which was the most interesting, did any of them annoy you?

I think Tobias is the most realistic option for a romanceable pairing and I like how childhood friendships can blossom into something more. But I liked Perrault the best. I suppose he's like the romantic ideal and I prefer the romanticism over the realism. XD
I wasn't a huge fan of Perrault, but I liked both Tobias and the Prince. Tobias is probably my favorite, because the Prince didn't have much of a personality.

All that said, I'm really looking forward to the f/f option in the Sophia sequel. :) I kind of wished Ghede had been a romantic option for Cinders.

Perrault is my choice, even though his love of duty and conflicted thoughts can make him annoying when getting all his endings in a row. The belts and the scars are cute though.

Tobias is a little more realistic, and my second choice, even though he thinks Cinders is coming on to him when I haven't made her do that. He seems quite anxious to have a wife and settle down...as long as he's comfortable. Getting him to run away is a pain.

The Prince...maybe I don't like him because we see so little of him and most of that preaching about sweeping, hugely different changes he wants to implement.

Perrault was my favourite by far. You need to actively pursue him which was a nice change of pace. I also found that Tobias was quick to react in a romantic way when that wasn't the intention at all [though maybe that's to mimic real life experiences? If so, bravo!].
As for the Prince, I don't find he's around long enough to really strike up a romance with. I mean, if being Queen is your playthrough goal then by all means go for it ! The decision to choose him didn't wind up coming from any particular affection, but from trying to be the most objective ruler possible.

I don't really care for any of the love interests. Tobias is my least favourite though, simply because of how pushy he is. I enjoyed them all as friends. I guess since I tended towards 'smart' the Prince is the one I ended up with the most, but usually I ended up alone.

I think it needed another option, maybe a female?

Perrault all the way! Almost wish I could make Cinders get as... intimate with him as she is with Tobias (unless this is possible and I haven't yet discovered how). I too appreciate the scars and a brooding disposition in a man :P

Tobias was alright. Loyal friend, smart, ambitious. But honestly no spark. A queenly woman like Cinders needs a strong man, not only a pawn :)

Prince Basile... we can't know much about him, and what we know does not interest me that much. Sweet, idealistic, revolutionary, yet bound by the crown and the traditions, which cause him to not be his own person. At least Perrault and Tobias had some freedom...

I would say non of them annoyed me but non of them interested me either, its sad that i have only ever found one true worthy romance game out there and that was a free one that lasted for a couple days. But just like most attempts at romance this game was fun, just wish that there where more romantic feelings. All i could feel from this was a closer bond to cinders familly and friendship to both the captain and merchant.

More time is required to form true bonds of love, and more options are allways nice. Can't say much else is really needed then that, the rest is up to the story.
None of them, really. I agree with allergictolife. They're enjoyable as friends, but not as lovers. And yes, a female option would be nice. I ship Ghede and Cinders so hard when I make them run away together!

I seem to be in the minorty here. I love Tobias. Perhaps my favorite character in the game. I love his smart-a** quiqs along with the fact that he's laid back, reasonable, and supportive no matter if your friends or lovers.

Perrualt on the other end is my least fav ( well after the Fairy and Ghede he is ) He's just so wishy-washy. Not sure of what he wants in life or who he is as a person. But I've long outgrew the drak brooding types, so I might be a little biased.

PS. I say least favorite but I still liked them all well enough.

I really liked them all. The prince doesn't really interact with Cinders long enough to see a bond between them, but his ideals about the kingdom make him a good match. Tobias is great as friend or lover as they have a friendly banter & old history together. However, Perrault's my favourite, & the hardest to get, probably because in fiction I still like the broody types...or maybe it's the challenge? :P

I completly agree, and it would be interesting to see how a romance between Cinders and Perrault would fold out, Ohohoho~
Tobias is also very charming, and seeing their conversations it seemed as if Tobias grew stronger feelings for his childhood friend.. even if not, he certainly cares deeply for Cinders.

The prince was intelligent and charming, but I suppose my taste just never went towards nobility as much xD

in my first read-through, i paired off with perrault, but it wasn't a deep romance. just two lost souls adventuring together. he was the only one who seemed to offer freedom, and he wore his heart on his sleeve. i didn't find any of the men annoying, but perrault seemed the most sincere. i felt sorry for the prince, but his lifestyle would not be for me.

however, it was a close call, and there was one critical moment, where i agonised over the decision for ages. i saved the game at that point and went back to it after. that had me alone at the end. apt, but not very romantic.

i'm still playing out alternatives, though... :redflower:

Perrault. Tall, dark and handsome. *swoons* He's interesting and promises excitement. He's my favourite :)

Tobias. Safe choice. We've known him our entire lives and he's our best friend. Friendship can easily become love.

Prince. We didn't really see much of him, so it's hard to comment. I don't really go for the Prince-type, though.

Well, I was interested in the game, but in the end I didn't get it because there aren't female romance option.
Probably I still will get it in a sale. Because I kinda like the idea.

I really like the Captain , he's so mature and handsome. My second choice would be Tobias. The Prince unfortunately doesn't have much screen time and I don't really care about him.
