We published a new update for TRI! :triangel: The new version (v1.1) got the codename "QuadraticTriangle" and as usual contains some minor bug-fixes and changes to the game. Here are the more important improvements:

• Added Finnish language for in-game texts
  
• Added Polish language for in-game texts
  
• Removed warning about not supporting Intel graphics cards, as it was confusing
  
• Added bindable key "Menu" - this is what happens when you press ESC to call the pause menu. (The ESC key will always do it, but now you can add another binding.)
  
• Removed some wood surface in a location in Chapter 15, to allow coming back to one of the hidden idols by creating triangles

Bug :bluefox: fixes include:

• Fixed initial resolution fullscreen change
  
• Fixed level timer not resetting
  
• Fixed Monk talking through the ceiling in Chapter 13
  
• Fixed potential bug with some achievements not unlockable
  
• Fixed potential bug with not working door in Chapter 12 - needs level restart (minor fix)
  
• Fixed bug with quality settings - low shadow settings would also lower quality of characters

As the last update introduced one or two bugs and extended testing made other errors obvious, TRI got a new hotfix update, code-named Pythagorean Logic (v1.0.4)! :foxmonk: A partial list of the removed bugs:

• The sixth cutscene was missing and the fifth started before the wrong level
  
• Hardware mouse cursor was constantly reappearing on Linux (fixed by Unity)
  
• Monk was talking again after reload in "Out of Time and Space"
  
• Freeze when trying to quit level while having fish-eye effect
  
• End statistics didn't work correctly when a level was restarted

CELEBRATION! :triangel:

We still can't quite believe it, but TRI won an award on the evening of April, 21st, during the Opening Summit of the International Games Week Berlin. It's now officially the Best Youth Game according to the German Computer Game Award 2015! We cannot be thankful enough for this surprising honor.

TRI got a new update, code-named Pythagorean Beauty (v1.0.3)! It contains a few minor bug-fixes and changes to the game which hopefully improve the overall experience.

Levels improvements and additions are:

• Added a wall tutorial to "The Foxes' Playground"
  
• Added an object force field in "Glimpse of Light" to prevent players getting stuck (minor fix)
  
• Added a throw height limitation for the yellow box in "Prisons"
  
• Added some stepping stones to "A Temple on the Mountain"
  
• Added a force field wall to "Overcoming Limitations" to prevent players from getting stuck without the wall-walk TRI (minor fix)
  
• Replaced a few of the deadly light rays with less deadly light rays (orange color) to make them easier
  
• Added a lever for a gate in front of an idol in "Out of the Box"
  
• Added an autosave to "Interrupting and Bending"
  
• Added minor visual hints in "The Foxes' Playground", "Glimpse of Light" and "Red Means Dangerous"
  
• Changed bottom puzzle in "Glimpse of Light" a bit to prevent glitches
  
• Added a back wall to the portal, and a moving gate in "Prisons"

A list of bugs removed:

• Fixed a minor bug with the TRI post-effect and audio filter
  
• Fixed a minor texture error in "Out of Time and Space"
  
• Fixed a rare, scale related bug with the elevator in "Wings in the Void"
  
• Fixed a minor bug with the challenge mode screen when there is no local score yet
  
• Fixed Monk not talking anymore after collecting the first TRI when moving away from him (minor fix)
  
• Improved display of some particles with low texture resolution setting (minor fix)
  
• Corrected particle effects for the key statues in "Three Sides To Everything" (minor fix)
  
• Fixed subtitles not being shown anymore after pressing Escape
  
• Fixed a minor bug with the climbing mechanic being possible on the bottom side of triangles
  
• Fixed end statistics (played chapters and such)
  
• Fixed a bug which caused resetting the statistics when restarting a level
  
• Fixed a minor bug in "Out of Space and Time" by replacing an invisible triangle-destroying box with a visible one
  
• Fixed an idol in "Wings in the Void" (regression from v1.0.1), should count now for the bonus content when collected again

Other changes:

• Improved black border and skip button for cutscenes
  
• Added option to deactivate the voice of the Monk
  
• Added a text in pause menu screen indicating how many chapters were played in the current playthrough
  
• Changed auto-statify (of current triangle) slightly - moving the current corner beneath the player won't make the triangle immediately static anymore (min distance is 1m)
  
• Improved Forward Rendering (ie. when Deferred Rendering is deactivated) visually a bit - removed the edges effect and tried to reduce the flickering
  
• Updated Unity engine version to 4.6.3f1
  
• Replaced Unity's standard SSAO effect with Thomas "chman" Hourdel's SSAO Pro
  
• Replaced HOTween with DOTween (thanks to Demigiant!) for slightly better performance
  
• Updated Steamworks to 1.32

We tried to listen to what players said in the forums and via mail as much as we could, and especially the less deadly light rays might be very welcome to some of you. ;)

Sadly, some things reported we could not fix because we could not reproduce the behaviour. So, in case you found a bug, it would be great if you could send a relevant save game and the last log to friedrich(at)ratking(dot)de, together with a description of the bug.

We're pleased to announce that TRI just got an update, named "PurifiedTemple", that not only fixes a bunch of bugs, but also introduces trading cards and badges to the mix! Collect them, trade them, turn them into badges... we don't mind, as long as you're enjoying yourself!

Here's the full list of fixes:

• Fixed a bug with a respawing idol in "Wings in the Void" *
  
• Fixed the loop gap in the TRI choir sound
  
• Fixed a bug with the respawing idols in vases in "Going Astray" *
  
• Fixed save error after visiting an certain area in "Out of Space and Time"
  
• Fixed Steam achievements "Light Reflecter", "Laser Pointer" and "Addicted to Acid" - they're achievable now!
  
• Fixed a bug with a respawing idol in "Out of Space and Time" * and made it a little bit more obvious
  
• Fixed a possible bug with moving platforms and doors when saving
  
• Fixed a minor bug in the options menu which occasionally made it impossible to change the triangle colors
  
• Fixed a bug with the savegame folder on Mac OSX

Things marked with a * need a level restart to be effective. Also, some things were changed a bit:

• Trading cards, badges, emoticons and profile backgrounds added
  
• Added a "Continue" button - resumes from the most recent savegame
  
• Changed some power lines in "Glimpse of Light" slightly, in order to make the situation more obvious
  
• Made wall tutorials 'usable', to make it more obvious those are not markers for triangle points
  
• Reduced jerky movement on most stairs by adding special collision geometry
  
• Changed window room in "Unwilling Walls" a bit, to make a puzzle's solution a bit more obvious
  
• Changed the step sound for walking on wooden surfaces
