Are people really that thick headed, that slow or is that they can’t read? My computer runs DX12 it came with DX 12 installed, but when it came to this game I also got the stupid message “DirectX 12 is not supported on your system. Try running without the -dx12 or -d3d12 command line argument” and I have friends that are huge tech geeks and the wouldn’t run for them either

This is objectively false. Unreal 5 supports Directx 11. Some features won't work like Nanite but it's supported.

i would love a dx11 support too. the game on dx12 is really poorly optimized for my rtx 3050. dx11 would ensure lots of people to be able to play the game, though i admit i'm unsure how much effort it would take to implement it. i know fortnite has an option for dx11 and 12 and runs on ue5. the only difference is the inability to use nanite/lumen on dx11

I have a framework 13 inch laptop. no gpu but costs over 2k. There are many laptops without integrated gpus that cost a good sum of money. doesn't mean people are poor.

What's your feature levels?
Some GPU like NVIDIA 750 ti has DX12 but has feature levels 11_0

mmm this might be a directx 13 issue which is conveniently called directx 12 ultimate the gpu has to have 12_1 support or 12_2 not 100% sure

by the way if you searched marvel rivals is a directx 12 ultimate title

a workaround would be using this https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk older versions of dxvk support older versions of vulkan support of your videocard so might need to check the support on your card that said there many more cards with a vulkan version capable of dxvk then there are cards with 12 ultimate

throw the dxgi.dll from the x64 folder into the marvel rivals folder were the .exe of the game is located

also consider using linux as every game gets translated to vulkan you might be able to play more games this way then on windows
