Long loading times

Anyone else have the game installed on a HDD and getting some seriously bad loading times? Like by the time I'm in the game and have my character model loaded it's around 30 seconds after the match began, then another minute or so to stop stuttering

I have been dealing with the same thing. Try loading into a practice match against AI and then quit. Somehow it "warms up". Once I go into a competitive match, it seems to be better but not consistently great.

I have it installed on an HDD as well. The loading times are fairly long but usually only on the first time I load into a new map - which means, both maps load long when I get on them the first time. After that the loading times are alright for an HDD.

After loading into the very first match, it takes a bit for the character to load as well but I don't experience crazy stutters or anything. It just loads, maybe one smol "lag spike" and it's fine.

I haven't tried loading into practise matches or playing against AI as the first match to avoid being "afk" for the first 20 - 30 seconds in a real quick play match.

For unreal 5 games I'd recommend putting it on an SSD if possible. Even a Sata SSD will suffice. This game is optomized like crap like holy hell do I get mad frame drops constantly. Then again it IS in an alpha state so improvements will come.
