I would like to see the under 18 teams have an active league and show some progress.
Thank you so much for the feedback,
I write down your topics so we can discuss them internally and potentially include them/combine them with other features for the future.
Best,
Victor
No worries, I'm glad to help. I have 12 additional points:
1. One of my best players earned 920,000 Euros for a season. When I renegotiated his contract, I got him to play for 100 Euros monthly. Yes, you read it right. I didn't miss a zero or two in his new monthly wage.
2. I also had a save with KK Split (Croatia) to get them back to the top of Europe with mostly homegrown and Croatian talent. In my first season in the EuroLeague, I got to the Final Four but didn't get an automatic spot for the next season. IRL clubs that don't have A-licenses get to stay in the league if they make the playoffs.
3. There was no third-place play-off in the EuroLeague. I know the fans and clubs hate this, but I'd like it in the game for the sake of realism, too.
4. The sponsor system is weird. Setting objectives doesn't increase or decrease my budget. Also, I've had instances where I qualified for the Champions League's regular season, but I have to set my objective for the competition once the qualifiers are over. By then, my budget has been set for the season, and setting an objective won't affect that.
5. When I got to the EuroLeague with Split, my schedule was CRAZY. During December and January, I had around 20 games per month, yet when I decreased my daily hours of training to one, I didn't have an issue with fatigue. It'd be nice to prolong the season to make the game more realistic. For example, in Croatia, the domestic league ends in mid-March, while IRL last year, it ended at the start of June. After all, in the game, the EuroLeague ends at the end of May just like IRL.
6. Once players reach a certain age, their report card says, "X might decline in the coming years." Of course, old players usually get worse, and examples like LeBron James or Marcelinho Huertas are rare. But in the game, everyone is LeBron and Huertas. I haven't seen a player lose skills once he gets very old. Consider adding a sequence in the code where a small percentage of players will have a hidden talent that will enable them to keep their skills when they age.
7. It's impossible for a European club to buy someone from the NBA, but that's not the case in person. Also, I didn't receive any compensation when I signed young talents, and they were drafted. There should be some; there is IRL.
8. I have a gripe with the scouting system: there's no chance to ask the scout to scout worldwide or focus on the leagues I choose for him. For instance, I don't want to scout Germany as Split when I know the scout won't concentrate on Bundesliga players, and lower league players are too bad to interest me.
9. I play with a short rotation (8-9 men), as I've found the most success with it. There was a season where I suffered seven 0-30 losses due to foul-outs. This wouldn't happen in real life; even one time would be scandalous.
10. It took me ten seasons to qualify for the EuroLeague with Split. Once I looked at the clubs, most of the powerhouses were (very) weak. As most of the Euroleague teams are set because of the A-license, this heavily decreased the league's level. Maybe there's a way to ensure that A-license teams won't ever fall behind a certain level threshold. Anyway, it seemed in my save that the ABA league was stronger than the EuroLeague as I finished with a 26-4 record in the latter but failed to make the playoffs in the ABA league.
11. It's too easy to get players and staff to commit to five-year contracts (I do it so I don't have to spend time doing it in the offseason). In European basketball, contracts usually last a maximum of three years, which can be considered rare. I've seen five-year contracts only with young players or superstars like Aleksandar Vezenkov, but my 35-year-old point guard, Borna Kapusta, isn't a young gun. Nor is he a EuroLeague star.
12. When a player wants to leave, I accept his wish to be transfer-listed and then remove him from the list to keep him. That way, his mood will not be affected. To close that loophole, make it so that when a manager accepts the player's wish, the manager can't unlist the player.
1. Could you confirm which player/team?
7. I'm not sure I follow, it's not possible in real life for a team to buy a player from the NBA. About the draft bonuses, we are thinking about it. However it's not automatic in real life if i'm not mistaken.
Thank you for the rest of the feedback :)
1. Motiejus Krivas in my KK Split save. The year was 2035 or something like that. I've played too many seasons to know the exact time :D
2. You can buyout an NBA player. The European team won't directly pay the NBA team for the player, but the NBA team and NBA player can terminate the contract for a fee, which the player himself will pay. And the European team would include the buyout into his salary over here meaning his buyout is covered.
It's just like when an NBA team wants a player from Europe. When let's say Walter Tavares wants to leave Real, he'll pay a big part of the buyout himself (IIRC NBA teams have a maximum amount they can spend on a single buyout) but in turn will get a bigger deal from the NBA so that in the end he'll get they buyout money back.
Happy new year!
