Comparing notes on Offensive & Defensive Tactics

Just looking to compare notes on how everyone else sets up their tactics.

My guards focus on outside defense after they have reached at least a 70 in one scoring category. The goal is to max out outside defense & stealing to prevent opposing guards from scoring, passing, driving, etc. My Point Guard is my defender.

Center and Power Forward focus on inside scoring & maybe mid range until they get to 70. Then it's interior defense and rebounding until they max out. Computer opponents rarely beat me in total rebounding though I only get players at these positions that are 6" 7' or taller.

Small Forward is one of the go to guys and focuses on improving scoring in all categories up to the max.

Regardless of talent on my team I implement tight on-ball & off-ball pressure. I might occasionally use smother if the opposing guards have no drive capability.

On offensive tactics, I'll setup default scoring once a player reaches 60. Until then it's avoid. Once a player gets to 70, I setup shoot at will.

My coach is a tutor and I hire an assistant with 90 or above offense and defense. I strike a balance with facility improvements. When taking over a team, I focus on 4 hours of training on off days, 3 hours the day before, and 3 hours the day after. When taking over a team, I'll do 3 hours team training and 1 hour individual training until both offense and defense are maxed out. Then I'll put all 4 hours on individual. This really helps develop players along with the facility improvements.
