It's been reported that a new and or remastered Carnivores game is in the works! I am totally excited to see some more life breathed into this series!

Yeah, probably should've mentioned that in the post, so my apologies. Supposedly they plan to port the remastered version to PC, and the reported plan is that owners of this version are supposed to get the remastered version for free. Saurian Target on YouTube had a more in depth video on the topic and had some more news pulled from the Official Twitter and what not. Still, I consider that a "possibility" and not a solid yes for the time being.

Sorry but you are wrong. I got an email that states it is a remaster of the PC version, meaning it is updated as opposed to what we have with the 2015 version. Consoles are getting the new build and hopefully PC does as well.

The developer said that it will come to steam "end of summer". I found this twitter post from them:
"We are targeting around the end of the summer to release on Steam, also we will be releasing Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunt (the base game) on Steam for FREE for people who already own Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter - Reborn."

So update for those who haven't tried the remaster on consoles yet: It's definitely a good improvement upon this version. You can hunt all the dinosaurs on any map, the A.I. seems to be better in the remaster, and the dinosaurs, although still a little buggy, aren't nearly as buggy as they are in this version. My main complaint at launch was that the sound effects were a little wacky in volume, lag, etc., and some of the features that I think were fine in this version were removed in the remaster. Been a while since I've played both so off the top of my head I can't name specifics, but there are some changes that I don't think were entirely necessary.

They will also update the game as its going which is a good thing, hope they just listen to community feedback and watch videos on the game from people like saurian target

I believe its been pushed back, as they're currently doing patching and bug fixing for the console versions.

Been outta' the loop, any new news I missed did they update it yet? Wanted to enjoy this so much since I loved the original. So hyped they are updating /releasing the update.

I haven't heard much in a while. Last I heard they were still getting the console ports up to snuff. Can confirm that the recent update added ambient animals and lethal\non-lethal hunting modes though. I've been watching Saurian Target on YouTube for info, as he's been in direct contact with the devs. There is supposed to be a PC port coming, which last I heard was free for owners of this version, but it's apparently been pushed back due to bug fixing or something.

Okay, yeah hopefully it doesn't fall through like the original carnivores game remakes did. Tatem(the devs from the remakes) just went quiet so I assume it's also dead, unless gog can get the rights doubt we will get the originals. Or maybe nightdive can get to them. One of my fav series was upset no one seemed to remember it for a long time.

Yeah, same. Tatem has sorta ruined their reputation with me. I don't know what their role is here though. It sounded like this was being pushed by the outsourced dev team instead of Tatem, so that may be a plus.
