high cpu usage
when I play alone or host a game, the cpu usage increases drastically especially when I mine ores, I tried everything (launch option, nvidia panel, low priority cpu, lowest settings, ini files) to fix it nothing works, does anyone have any options?

my specs:
gtx 970 msi 2 gb vram
i7 6700k
16 gb ram

I've been receiving the same thing recently. Maxing out my cpu and causing errors.
specs:
Asus
GTX 1060 6GB
i7-7700
16gb ram.

Op's gpu is barely in the minimum and the person responding is on the dot
so your cpu is probs doing more work cuz of that
the game on its own is not entirely 100% optimized and suffers from a lot of stuttering due to poor shaders but its not that noticeable but if your cpu/gpu are within the minimum of the game you'll probably notice it and it'd explain the high cpu use

cap the fps in the game
Razzle is likely correct, the CPU is probably picking up the slack due to the GPUs being at, or below, the absolute minimum. According to one of the PC part comparison sites I checked the minimum GPU they list below is about 14% better than the GPU that the OP has.

As per the Steam store page these are the minimums:

Windows 10/11 64-bit
Processor: Intel® Core i5 (Quad Core or better)
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1060
DirectX: Version 12
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Storage: 20 GB available space
Additional Notes: SSD Recommended

And these are the parameters that differ from those minimums for the recommended specs:
Processor: Intel® Core™ i7 (6 Core or better)
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 2060

OP - if you're hosting the game your system is going to be doing even more work. Whoever has the best system should be hosting. Your only real option is to get a better GPU as it sounds like you've tried all the software related tweaks that might have helped you with this issue.

Edit: Just tested the CPU usage on my setup. I have 32 gig ram, an 8 gig RX 6600 GPU, a pair of WD black m.2 SSDs, and a Ryzen 7 5800X processor. CPU usage stayed around 20% or so most of the time. Only had a few spikes up near 70% but that seemed to happen only when it was loading info and I would expect the CPU usage to jump when it's loading new areas.

it's already done the game run at only 20 fps, it's surely just the game who is poorly optimized because the gpu is ok run only to 30-40% but with 80-90% of vram (only 2gb available) but I setup for the gpu to takes ram if ever the vram is full to avoid a crash
