Would you like a black diamond?
You can rest to recover stamina by breaking some of the black rocks you may occasionally see to get coal to make a campfire. Cloth for the bedroll and wood to make a food table is basic to get as well. Some chests to store items in this temporary camp can alleviate inventory issues as well, allowing you to freely explore until you acquire the diamond.
Its also possible to use natural fibres to craft rope ladders to get back up the descent without teleporting, though it’s much easier if you placed them on the way down. The rope ladder is one of three things I know of that can be built without a hearth nearby, the third being the dock which you might have recently unlocked with the collection of Ubasam wood.
You are not stuck, you just need to be resourceful and possibly change up your gameplay loop to overcome the obstacle now facing you.
I know I'm technically not stuck, but no one including myself is going to do this.
I've been looking for goblins but no luck with the drops. And I cant build a forge. I'm not spending 10 hours here just because the developers didnt do the bare minimum, which is using a non smooth brain.
I built series of quick platforms all the way down the entire thing, like steps. Then I went back up and filled in gaps where I had simply jumped down (was being lazy). It is possible.
You can also get black diamonds are a possible drop from hordes. So mine out a deposit and make as MUCH noise as you can. Sing, bang pots and pans, hire a marching band, etc until a horde gets triggered.
If you're having trouble handling hordes, you can tunnel up into the deposit if you're careful.
When you're mining you should aim up at a 45 degree angle. When a chunk of stone disappears, jump up into the void you created, and repeat it again, aiming upwards at a angle while you mine. Very quickly you will create a whole set of steps. The orcs usually can't follow you up channels that you mined out yourself. The mining deposit becomes a safe area you can retreat into.
listen you condesending sht, are you daft!?! I explored until the deep, which is after the mines of moria. you need a first descendant pickaxe, which I can't build because I need the iron first !
DO YOU SEE THE DESIGN FLAW HERE YOU M*****
You don't need to. I already explained what you need to do.
Ultimately, this is just a lack of preparedness. I typically enter a new biome with 6 coal and at least 3 ingots to build a repair forge. The whole point is to have the materials on hand to set up a small camp, minus the materials that are easy to scavenge like cloth or wood. If I know the camp might be something I revisit often, I bring diamonds and whatnot for a mapstone.
Also, when does the Quarrymaster pick unlock? That masterwork pick can mine down there as well as Adamant stone afterwards as well. Steel picks can also mine the small limestone looking rocks here and there for some granite that you can't mine normally with that pick.
Like, at this point I'm not seeing anything sugesting you're remotely stuck, you just don't seem to want to put in effort to unstuck yourself and are doing the classic "it can't be my fault, the devs just suck" response which is only correct in like 1 in every million cases its used. There's going to be a little adversary here that you need to overcome, just do it and move on. Not really seeing the problem here.
Good advice.
Exactly right, nothing suggesting they're actually stuck. They're simply trying to do things the hard way and it's not working out very well for them. If they listen to some of the advice in this thread they'll be out of there in no time.
no one inlcuding me is spending 4+ hours on platforms to get back out. it took me 45minutes to get down. how long do you think it's going to be to get back up ?
that is just a no. and people that are absolutely daft about how about dying? is I have my bedroll down there, that was the first thing I did.
so yes I am stuck there. yes I am disabled and play with a controller so everything is a lot slower.
anyone else here a problem with me playing?
I did not design this trap, I didn't even want to jump in there. so you can laugh all you want like the Iq less developers out there t hat made this without a clear solution you can work for.
I've been down there for about 4 hours now.
trust me this is costing you a big userbase because you want to be elitism and laugh.
you guys are the worst, the first reply here was still the best. you can have some if you like. that is at least a solution. but the developers should give one. it shouldn't be the case that I have to create a new world to grind one faster than being stuck down there. while you guys are laughing that is the wrong way to play hahahahahahahahah
what an idiot, hahahahaha, developers made a trap and stuck him down there hahahahahahha
guess what? that's why people don't have the achievements. and like this. you'll never have a playerbase ever that want to be a part of this.
It is and I had to do it, but still this shouldn't be the case in game design. the developers know this. this is just ridiculous if you randomize things.
