Ruby's missing from the chests? What happend sins the release of the game? Am I missing something?

Ok, I got the game sins it got released and decided to play it again but to my suprise Ruby's are no longer inside Orc chests making it extreemly hard to create lvl III items.
I have been opening about 6-8 chests now after getting to the Elven furnace and into the mines. But even the 2 chests at the first Orc king had zero Ruby.

Ok, was my thought, lets try the deep when I repaired the lift. Close after reaching the bottom is a first entrance to the deep and guess what.....no Ruby.
On the decent into that part of the deep you see 3 sections in the wall to mine for gems. No Ruby as result.
I am not planning to stay long in the deep with just a lvl II weapon and I seriously need that lvl III weapon if I wanna make a chance in this part of the game.

Wht the *** have the Ruby's been removed from the chest? You need atleast one to survive in this part of the game.

The Orcs sometimes drop one too. We did find one in an orc camp chest too.
