Crested helmet or Erebor City Watch helmet?
Hi, everyone!

Ingame info of Crested Helmet says it is Tier III. It also requires hides instead of cloth scraps used for Erebor City Watch helmet.
So one could assume that CH is superior. I've looked it up a bit and wikis (including official) say it is Tier I, its stats are worse (including info from the official wiki), and several discussions say that Crested Helmet is inferior.

I'm confused - CH stats were buffed in some patch or wiki is right and it's just an ingame typo?

The official wiki migrated to https://returntomoria.wiki.gg/ from fandom quite recently, however (in protest over fandom's increasingly intrusive advertising policy), so it will probably take a bit of time to work out all the kinks.

All the headgear underwent changes in a recent patch. The Wiki is probably old.

It used to be that nearly all helmets were tier 2. (Mithral was 3 and two (I forget which, but CH might have been one of them) were tier 1. All of the rest were tier 2.) After the update, helmets are the same tier as the rest of the armor in their set. And all of their stats were updated to match their new tier.

tl;dr: the Wiki is probably out of date regarding stats for helmets.

Ah, that makes sense.

Thank you for your answers!
The crested helmet has the potential drawback of attracting more attention, which in game terms may mean an increase in spawn rates of orc patrols? Certainly felt that way whenever I was wearing it. Unless of course you want to slay more goblins and orcs while your out and about, but it gets a bit annoying and tiring after awhile. Or maybe its just the fact that its and awesome helmet and the orcs are jealous.
