Lost key to the orc chest (elf zone)

Hello friends.

In the elves area, there are some orc chests. One of them, at the beginning of the game, after breaking the orc respawn, I think I remember seeing the key drop, but I couldn't catch it because it disappeared on the ground... I think it's a bug...

Has anyone had this happen before? Do you know any solution?

Yeah it drops there and perhaps you picked it up without knowing? But yeah that's where you are supposed to get it. In the elf area I think the stuff is minor. The ones in Moria have black diamond in them. I don't think any relevant story or upgrade stuff is in them.

If you have the patience, you can break the chest. It has like 250hp, and very high armour. So you're going to need some later-game 2H weapons. But like the other person said, it's unlikely to contain anything game-breaking-ly important.

Pick the lock, as in smash it open with your pick.

Try holding down E key it might pick it up. Holding E vacuums up everything dropped around you.

I had the same problem, the solution is just drop something, (a stone, a piece of Wood etc) and pick it up by holding E for a few seconds.
