As for updates to Return to Moria I'd like to see these.
- Toggle run option
- More defined maps
- Fix the loading walls
- Fix the crashes
- Better build snapping
- Better combat and remove auto targeting closes enemy. For some reason, with lock-on target not turned on, my dwarf attacks enemies behind me and to the side while facing forward at an enemy. This is terrible.
- Wouldn't mind a group function like DRG does.
- Better random map generations.
- New areas added.
- RNG events like finding a spiders nest and hacking dwarves and other Middle Earth races out of cocoons. If they add NPC's these could be some of them. Other events could be another Balrog returns (raid?), maybe finding Gollum's home, and other iconic things from The Silmarillian, The Hobbit and LotR.
- NPC's you can find, as mentioned above, that can populate your dwarf base. Maybe allow you to pick what function they do and arm them with weapons and armor. Maybe allow non-groups to pick one to follow you. You can have a gatherer follow you till you tell them to gather and than they stop following you and gather in a certain radius of where you dropped them off. Or arm some and make them guard from attacks or follow you as a sidekick.
from what i understand they are limited as to how much they can pull from the lore for this game due to the license they have...probably very few specific references outside of things in the Fourth Age
there is a lot they still wanna do... there was talk of a pack animal possible... that would be helpful too
Oh heck yeah, I'd love a pack animal, especially if it could function like the combat pack animals from the Dungeon Siege series.
Thanks.

There is a toggle sprint option in the game, until your stamina runs out... However what I would like is "auto move" so I don't have to hold down the W key all day. after a few hours of running back and forth several squares it starts to ache.
In the final cut scene, Gimili's turns his company over to you. His company is all the dwarves you see in the opening cut scene. So they already work for you at the end of the game.
If you pop out the west gate (the first gate you found way back at the beginning of the game), you can meet one of them.
But it would be nice if they would enter Moria as NPCs.
I agree. I'm just afraid the game was not the financial success needed to invest in the new code required to pull it off. I'd love to see Moria come alive again, and maybe, just maybe, they dig a little too deep (again).
