Is this game good for a solo player?

How is this game for a solo player? is everything playable or do things become too difficult to beat if you play solo?

There "solo" difficulty you can choose.
Didn't got too far enough in the game yet to tell if there difficulty spike in this difficulty.

The game is really great as a single player, I prefer it like this instead of multi, the game has a long lifespan, it's easy to get lost at first, it's so big !

I find it very decent solo, you can get lost.
mark your way with torches on the ground etc. adjust the settings to make it possible to survive solo.
(you can adjust difficulty settings even while already in a world, so adjust a bit if its to hard)
Its much fun :)

solo is very satisfying, some goblins attacked my base on solo difficulty and they were around 15 goblins.

I'm finding the game to be fun in solo (13 hours in so far).
There's not the usual annoyances usually found in other survival games, that hit solo players especially hard, like weight limit, short stamina bar or weapons/tools that break too fast.

I'm 40+ hours in and I upped the difficulty halfway from the default "Solo" difficulty preset. So yeah it's quite doable.

Also I don't get how people get themselves lost in this game, you have a map and GPS. I'm wishing I could turn the minimap off for more thrill in this regard.

Is there any form of NPC's you can manage (miners, guards, etc.)? If solo is literally just doing everything by yourself it's not going to be for me.
