Campaign or Sandbox best for coop?

I can always play a campaign on my own but wondering if sandbox is better for coop, i've read that too randomized creates some issues like not being able to find useful stuff but i also don't want it to be too linear.
I have PTSD of Valheim swamp not spawning any iron dungeons

I think sandbox is best for co-op, but I am sure you can use your campaign character in both modes. So if you are solo or co-op doing the campaign and you then want to solo or co-op in sandbox you can take that campaign character, including its current inventory and equipped items, into a sandbox game. Please someone feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

I've been playing two multiplayer coop games of Return to Moria, it is eating two nights a week of my life, but it is well worth it. I was playing solo, but once we got into multiplayer it has been way more fun to play with friends than solo. We have had no problems exploring Moria in the campaign version multiplayer so far and we are approaching end game in both. I must admit I have not even tried sandbox yet.
