This.
Regular torches are awful. Get out of the western halls and start using crystal sconces or lamps.
That said, if you are dead set on trying to find a use for metal fragments, I have a pile of around 2-3,000 sitting in a world I made specifically to dump excess trash items.
Waiting in the same room in between respawns doesn't prevent this from happening, so you can easily see when they start popping again.
the armor made from slag isnt the best one.
There is your problem. You build TOO MUCH torches.
You spam torches in every inch but then wonder why you have not enough resources left? And then you complain to the game's developers? What's wrong with you?
The game is about restoring Moria. The only thing that you can build outside of base - ugly torches. Moria shouldn't be in darkness. But this problem was a long time ago. There are tons of problems in this game. Moria devs was bited by Valheim devs! And that is really sad!
thats wrong
and you maybe put too much torches
nobody said that you "restore" moria by putting torches all over the place
just my 2 cents there
Take this bloody coins back
sooner or later you will unlock more options
