I am aware, not what I'm asking. Thank you though.
You've got it. I've seen lots of games that come to Steam after Epic's exclusivity period that are still running on Epic's services for things like multiplayer. The end result is you're not logging into an Epic account but you're still installing and running Epic's software.
Stop letting an internet hate mob tell you that Epic is some big bad scary monster and you can't even use their online services. I mean, if you won't do that then surely you would'n't be playing any games built on Unreal Engine right? Right? Yeah thats what i thought.
Well tbf I did not even consider anything with kernal level access to my machine this includes Easy Anti Cheat, and Denuvo... So being cautious about what you install is not bad, its actually intelligent and most people just use the herd mentality to write it off "everyone else does it so it will be fine." I am just glad to hear that Microsoft is talking about removing 3rd party access to the Kernal.
This.
Thank you for telling me what to think. I don't know what I'd do without you.
Do you by chance know the answer to my question though?
You played ARK for 2400 hours and Warframe for 1000 hours, both use epic online services:

Are you trolling or confusing Epic Games Launcher with Epic Online Services?
Nothing wrong with not wanting ♥♥♥♥ FILES on your PC. Sure some of you buy Walmart computers infested with AIDS. Other people want to keep self built system clean.
Hey, thanks for answering my question! You win the thread!
To answer your question in kind, no, I'm not trolling.
Online services are not a static thing across time (obviously).
A service I didn't have concerns about years ago I may find unsuitable today, either because attributes of the service changed or I became aware of something I didn't know before.
Thank you again for the straightforward answer.
I see and you're welcome!
