Cannot Find the Orc Town

I have been through EVERY tunnel in the mines, I've watched numerous vids to get a general idea of where to look (I know the seeds are somewhat random generated), but I cannot for the life of me find the orc camp, which is BS since I cannot get into the Deep and continue the story line without it! Can someone please help me?

Not directly off the Descent, no. On the way there. In my seed, coming from the Mines Entrance, I had one room, then a room with stairs going up, another room, then the Descent. Up the stairs was one room doubling back west, then the orctown.

Stairs are not a given, there's a room with wooden scaffolding that does the same up/down shaft. Do you have anything like that between the Mines Entrance room and the Crystal Descent room? Have a look up on the way, someone described only finding it by luck, because there had been a bear-related accident befalling some orcs that destroyed the wooden structures on the ground.

Finally! Found Orctown. Realized what I was missing. The room with the wooden scaffolding was totally destroyed in a fight I had with some orcs and goblins early on, and I forgot about it. Your mention of scaffolding, as well as a buddy showing me a map pic of where he located it led me back to that room. Then it was just a matter of climbing up. Thanks to all for the patience and helpful tips.

That's why I said to look up, yes. Also, the rooms with the shafts are pretty distinctive in formation, with that indestructible platform in the center and one side having stairs up to it. So that's maybe something to watch for as well.
