Cannot Find the Orc Town

I have been through EVERY tunnel in the mines, I've watched numerous vids to get a general idea of where to look (I know the seeds are somewhat random generated), but I cannot for the life of me find the orc camp, which is BS since I cannot get into the Deep and continue the story line without it! Can someone please help me?

There are ways up and down a level in the mines. I've had two my last seed, the one up had the orc town right there. Have you found any?

I have found a way down, completely cleared it. There were a couple of camps of orcs, but no orc town.
going up was a dead end too...

Not sure if you know this but if you look at your map it should show up as a red area. If you haven't uncovered it yet but have the room/map before it unlocked you will see a red line which indicates a new area.

Orctown for me was on an upper level but I had run past the stairs leading up multiple times without exploring them. The stairs had walls around them and looked almost like a building but with stairs in the doorways. When I had nowhere else to look and was thinking it didn't spawn for me I found them.

One tip I saw in another post about marking areas you've been to is to use standing torches after you clear an area. I always thought you needed a hearth for them but you don't. I now use them to mark all sorts of things and light up dark areas. Could even use them to mark a path you want to follow.

Are you sure it was a dead end? These stairs can spawn room in all four directions, two of them to the side of the "main" way are easy to miss

1) Double check you are in Story Mode, 2) Search better.

Searching for Orc Town can be extremely frustraiting. I had the same problem and had to watch a YT video, what I noticed is that if you have the quest for the second part of Durin's Axe you can use that to guide you. You'll find that piece in Orc Town. Also look in your map if you have a red border somewhere, that's the color of the Orc Town map.

Another thing to have in consideration is that the shaft that goes to Orc Town is the one with the ladder on the side of the columns of the structure and when you get to the top you notice a wooden pillar and a platform nearby in the wall, that's the way to Orc Town

Sorry, but that's decided by the seed. For me, the shaft going to Orc Town was the stairs, not the wooden scaffolding.

Really? Oh, didn't know that, is my first playthrough and it was the same way that I saw in a video I thought that that was the way to Orc Town.

Question related to the Orctown quest. I have to collect 15 Black diamonds, but the Orc population seems to have dried up in the mines. I know mining can cause a Horde to appear, but I've mined out most of the sources of ore. Any suggestions?

Took me ages to find it on mine, it wasnt anywhere like in videos i watched to find lol.
I had to build platforms up a wood tower to it.

some seeds are bad and you might have to make a 2nd world to progress. rare but it happens

i started the game for my 1st time using seed 133742069 and it seemed to have everything not sure if it truly is a seed thing since this is only one i've been on.
