Can Salt only be found in 1 of the main zones?

My friend group (6-7 ppl) and I have been playing for a bit now on the campaign. Working our way through Darrowdwelf at this time, however our SALT pallet is running really low and we have not found any since we've arrived. All we can find now is Gold and Iron ore. Are we just SOL going forward on this resource or will there be something ahead in the final zone?

Yeah, that seems to be the case for some resources - they seem to disappear later into the game, so what you farmed up is what you have.
As an example, i have not found a single coal vein later on.

Bro same about the coal too. In fact I'm not sure how we haven't burned through more of what we have left. Maybe it's the weird burnable fungus things you can collect in the Crustal Depths that you can harvest on repeat that gives us enough buffer. Going to be interesting to see how we progress armor wise from here on.

Coal isn't an issue, make it at your hearth with all the wood. I do agree, though, that some resources aren't renewable and very low in quantity with some map seeds.
