Look for round patches of grass in shallow waters, those are usually cranberry patches. Sleep overnight, and they should respawn and you can go collect them again.

I've found the water between Durin's Door and the Westgate camp to be a good spot.

On my first seed, that area was full of cranberry patches. On my second, not a patch to be found there.

There is usually some in the water by the first camp you build. If you don't mind a bit of work and "exploiting" game mechanics, you can make new maps and get to that point then just load them and bring it over. Since it's so close that is an easy one to farm. It re-spawns so just load them all and grab it every few days. If you could get bat droppings you could grow it but those are more rare than gold.

Nope, Cranberries can't be grown. I suspect the logic behind that is that they need to grow in water and we don't have a aquatic grow-bed.

That said, I've played two seeds now and each contained a farm room in the Westgate area, so the area before the Elven Quarter. Three three-space growbeds and a large amount of shallow water with quite a few cranberry patches. Could be that one is a guaranteed spawn.

ah, ok, I haven't tried to grow anything yet. I seen several plots but they are all dark so only grow mushrooms that are everywhere already.
