If i would have to give the game a rating it would probably be somewhere between decent and good, but not above. But I guess I am more forgiving to the several small flaws it got (according to my personal preferences).
I'm really enjoying it, it has some flaws, but overall the game is great, the more you play, the more it gets better, especially for the exploration... I have not yet finished the game, but i'm always looking forward to my next session
thank you for you response, i'm saying that beacause i love survival games but it's really hard to find a game who isn't just a reskin, i really want to play this game with my friend but we don't want to be bait in because it's lotr. does the game have some mechanics that are unique? does is it at least really well crafted? or is it just another basic survival games with the hook being it's lotr?
remember on steam you can still play a game for 2h and get a refund, you would get a feel of the game at least, but like i said, exploration becomes better as you progress (and thats my favourite thing personally)
Up to the Elven Quarter and Mines of Moria there're plenty of new weapons, armor an food to craft and try - and one having fun for about 20-40 hours with new stuff and progression.
Starting from the Lower Deep it's a kind of pain - looking for the receipt and/or resources to craft the only item needed to progress, changing weapon/armor tier once in ~30 hours and stick with a mushroom stew and roasted meat.
Still the game is pretty attractive cos of it's casuality ;)
PLUS you are a Dwarf reclaiming the ancient home, the FIRST home of the first born, Durin.
Very big if you know anything about Middle Earth.
Strongly disagree, but thats just my opinion, as that is yours.
