what general are do you find the recipe for the crossbow bolts i have rebuilt all the statues in the are where you get the crossbow i think they are not putting out recipe any more just ore i have look all over the lower deeps ???

You should get that with the crossbow.
You make them at the workbench, requires Elven wood and either iron, steel or bronze(don't remember right now which one right now)

Have you crafted the crossbow yet?
If not that's probably why, the bolts unlocks after you craft it for the first time.
You need Ubasam Wood and Sliver Ingots to make the bolts

Try crafting the crossbow for sure, but also note that they should require feathers. A friend of mine had a similar issue because they never noticed the birds nests for eggs or feathers ever, so never got the prompt as they were missing an essential item for the recipe.

Once you have the crossbow recipe, you will get additional bolt recipes with the other weapon recipes you gain from the named forges.

In the campaign, you get the crossbow bolts recipe as soon as you craft the crossbow. Merely unlocking it is not enough.

Yep, crafting the first age crossbow will instantly unlock first age bolts too. They're made with silver ingots and wood, IIRC.

You learn better bolt recipes later on, for khazad steel and nogrod steel bolts. I never bothered to make either one, the first age seemed to get the job done. I found them as loot and just stored them, never even used khazad or nogrod. I killed the troll boss with first age entirely, and then afterwards I mainly used them to shoot bats out of the air.
