Question about creating building zones

So me and my friend picked up the game recently and we're wondering if there is a way to extend the range of a stonehearth?
As in can we add another one nearby and make them "connect" so to speak. If so would that still make it so the crafting stations can access the materials?

the last stonehearth you get have a good range on it you can build a good base with it if that what you are after. and i belive it work if you connect them

If you build another hearth and the building ranges overlap even a little bit the stockpile access continues into the new area

Yeah, if they overlap they connect and treats it as a single large base.
