Remaining Costumes

I've beaten the game a few times now, captured 50 planets, defeated the final boss. However, I'm still missing two costumes, the Neko and Panda costumes. Is it possible to get these costumes in every playthrough or is it random?

Panda you can for sure get in every playthrough. Neko relies on finding the fire yarn, then doing something...

Did you ever find the panda costume? It might have something to do with the fact that you can grow bamboo but I don't know. I guess also I'll never get all the costumes because the Simon from Yogscast one is locked forever unless you have a time machine to go back and join the kickstarter :)

I've only been playing for about an hour and already have the panda. I believe it was just in one of the chests from colonizing a planet.

Did you guys find out how to earn the Panda costume? I have like 50+ gametime, and I still have no clue on how to earn it.

panda costume actually just got a little harder to get thanks to the halloween update...

Here's how to get it:

You have to plant, i think, (been a while -- definitely not more than) 5 bamboo on a single planet... this will make a chest appear and inside is the alien panda suit...

Some additional notes:

The reason it's harder to get cuz of the halloween update is because there are now 4 new plants competing for your chances of planting a bamboo... so basically the chances of getting bamboo go down a bit.. Best chance to get it is to find a big planet and just plant the hell out of it

Am I the only one that noticed that OP doesn't own the game? I might be wrong, but I think this game is only unlockable on steam.
