How to get better

Need tips or tricks on how to beat some stuff like the thing that is equivalent to the blue shell in mario kart, or how to be faster in general. And also some tips in how not to get killed so easily.
btw which car is the best?

There is no blue shell, this game at least tries to have some balance.

Trick is drifting and some items can be thrown backwards if you turn the camera to look behind first.

For bosses, some of them, like the first are much easier if you drive around them in a circle so they cant hit you as easily. Compared to driving straight at them, which gives them a clean chance to hit you back.

I read one of the loading tips that you can boost out of damage states, dunno if that applies to that blue shell equivalent, I rarely have enough vials as I try to boost constantly

You cant boost out of the 'blue shell'.
