Could someone give a step by step for online multiplayer
I think the only way to play online is remote play, but could someone give a tutorial?
Here’s to hopes that online matchmaking is implemented later

Go to a spot where you can do local co-op invite friend to play over steam, that's it

shift tab to open overlay (when in-game), go to friends, right click one of your friends, invite to remote play, make sure your friend has a controller connected to their PCs.
